Congratulations to our Crew Chief, Kent, the very deserving recipient of the “Conch Award of Excellence”! Captain Thomas says he is the best Crew Chief we have ever had in all of our 13 years of these charters….and “Admiral Linda” concurs!

Wow!! What a great honor! So, how did he earn this title, and what made him the best in 13 years?
This is a very prestigious award determined by the Captain and I (Linda). We watch throughout the week for a variety of traits such as leadership, how they interact with their crew, how they handle themselves throughout the week with all the activities, how they see in advance what needs to get done, always puts forth their very best, pleasant attitude, maturity and I could go on. This is an award that some weeks if we don’t feel anyone really earned it then we don’t present it. It is not a “given” it is truly an earned patch with many factors and attributes we take into consideration. Kent stepped up to the plate in ways we have never seen a Scout or Crew Chief. We are so proud of him!
Did the boys fly home this morning 6-27 Friday or do they have one more day.
I think there may have been a mix up that it was tomorrow instead of today.
It would be good to have rides home from the airport.
They flew out of Marsh Harbour at 7:25 this morning
Thank you for taking such good care of our troop. Kent came home and was willing to volunteer to work for you for life. I am so grateful Kent and his dad had such an amazing time.
